Town Rebrand
Client: The Village of Swanton

Freelance work
Year: 2017

Collaborative small town rebrand of logo, icon system, and stationery for The Village of Swanton.

The Village of Swanton was looking for a change. The town just under 4,000 people in population had an overall poor self esteem. Mostly known for their agricultural and train transportation industries they were looked down upon by other near by towns that had just a little more going on. We looked to embrace the history of the town, but also designing a more modern yet traditional logo with a friendly geometric sans serif font, Brandon Grotesque.

An icon system was developed better help identify and unify the different departments. Alone they were the administrative department, the water department, or the zoning department. Shown together they were unified as The Village of Swanton.

Rebranded by Emily Frazier, Kate Blankerts, and Frank Nagyvathy.
